I got a job!

Well, friends, my time has come. I just signed all the paperwork to go back to teaching. I was contacted for a long-term leave replacement, and I'm looking forward to it. I have high hopes for the year- I'll be teaching practically the identical class that I taught previously- 7th life science/biology/environmental science from September to April, possibly May. So I'm getting excited. It's been just about 2 years since I left my position in Georgia and I feel refreshed and anxious to have the kids back in my life. And that the pay is substantially higher than before is a definitely bonus.
I was looking forward to spending my autumn days cycling through the crisp air and changing leaves. Instead, I'll be getting fat and making myself feel better by spending money on upgrades- I'll have to change my signature quote from "Don't buy upgrades, ride up grades" to something like, "If you can't ride, then spend money". Dura Ace, here I come.
P.S. Absolutely do NOT give me any negative information about this school/community/district whatever. There's nothing worse than starting a new place with a negatively-tainted impression. However, you can tell me how fabulous it is all you want. (:O)

Congratulations! And don't worry, I'll enjoy the change of season on the bike for you.

I don't really know anything about SOMS other than that a long time ago, I had the biggest crush on a this girl that went to school there, lol.

No you won't enjoy the change of season without me. Stephen, don't go getting any ideas. I'm going to check your mileage right now- you're making me nervous.

Don't get too nervous. I'm thinking about not logging my trainer miles anymore (which makes up a large chunk of my total mileage). I don't believe my new computer will work on the trainer since it calculates distance through satellites.
